M – There was only so much someone could take after repressing a memory like that one. Waking up next to your boss covered in bite marks and hickies-- what had happened was ( for the most part ), well known and unspoken between the two of them. If anything, what Tabitha didn’t know left him wanting to know more. It was unspeakably unprofessional, but being the type he was he had to know-- what ever that meant in this case.
So when he found himself reaching out and gripping Maxie by the waist, he had already stolen a kiss before he had a chance to think twice. Once he was in he wasn’t turning back. Hell no. He got himself this far, he was taking what he could despite all consequences. And as far as he knew, Maxie wasn’t shoving him away in disgust or threatening to fire him-- yet.
The inevitable happened and the moment broke. What’s more, Tabitha’s surprise wasn’t from expected rejection, but more toward the casual nature of the question. Eyes shifted around the room as he found himself heat up-- he swore to Arceus if he was blushing he would fall over and die.
Instead of the witty remark he intended on using to hide hesitation, what came out was, “I’m so sorry.” A hand met his mouth and oh man he hated himself. Brows pinched over scrunched eyes before opening with a heavy roll and sigh. “I wasn’t thinking. I-- It’s... Heh. You remember the, uh,” A cough, “the couch?”
